began with the use of calculators to perform simple mathematical functions
and will result in the absolution of the traditional school environment.
The progression of technology in society has not been limited to business
and industry, it has infiltrated our homes, our schools, even our cars.
The integration of computers into schools has been a slow and costly effort,
but a necessary one to allow students to keep up with the high-tech demands
of the business world. It is necessary for students to learn computer skills
in order to succeed in the work place nowadays. I believe that as education
integrates more and more technology; becomes a technology dominated institution,
teachers will be replaced with computer moniters, homework will be assigned
and submitted via email, and all research will be done on the Internet.
I predict that by the year 2023, the schools will be completely computerized. |
